But looking a bit closer, it should actually be clear who it depicts. The Sigma and the star are still partly visible on the shirt, and wearing the headphones around the neck also fits pretty well.

Das war ein netter Nachmittag. Ich war beim Bürger*innenfest des offenen Kanals SH in Kiel zum Relaunch als mediaHub. Ich habe mit 2 anderen vom Campusradio Kiel eine Stunde aus dem Radiostudio gesendet und über Themen gesprochen, die wir uns spontan überlegt haben, oder über aktuelle News, die gerade reinkamen. Danach haben wir noch die Videopodcast-Station des mediaHubs ausprobiert und waren danach noch Eis essen.

Was uns beim Campusradio verbindet: Wir reden alle gerne viel.

Okay, Edge seems to be an even more undefined or misused term than Cloud. What actually happened to Fog, describing the layer between the Cloud and Edge devices (as in end-devices generating the data) more precisely? Was it just marketing destroying technical terminology?

Whether something is low-power really depends on your perspective. When I talked to a professor from a different working group last week we first needed to see what we each talk about when we mean a low-power device. For the group I'm current still working at, a 64 MHz Cortex-M4 microcontroller with 256 KB RAM and 1 MB flash is low-power. For him and his group this is a high-power device. But he's working in intermittent computing and there energy is even more scarce than on battery-powered devices.

Sensor, Edge, and Cloud or Edge, Fog, and Cloud. It really depends to whom you're talking and which sub-discipline they belong to.

Nun werden nach den Richter*innen des int. Strafgerichtshofs möglicherweise auch Politiker*innen und Angestellte im öff. Dienst mit Maßnahmen wie z. B. Reiseverboten rechnen müssen. Das zeigt, wie wichtig das Nichtverkettungsgebot im Datenschutz für eine liberale Demokratie ist.

Die Redaktionssitzung heute war echt anstrengend. Jetzt ab nach Hause.

Phew, this lifehack (stolen from @domi ) saved my butt so I'm just going to share it further.

Sure, it looks awful... but if you have windows facing south (or if you can't afford/your landlord doesn't allow you to mount sun-blocking curtains) this is a lifesaver.

In the current heatwave my apartment (according to temperature sensor on my desk) was already hitting 36C inside despite window in the room being covered with a blanket. Standing in the kitchen in the afternoon made me feel dizzy within two minutes.

After applying the tinfoil to windows in the kitchen, over the few hours temperature dropped to 28C. Tinfoil is so hot, that I can't keep my hand on the window for more than 4 seconds (so it's very close to 50*C).

Going to apply the tinfoil to the window in the room as well, it should reflect a lot of that heat and make blanket much colder as a result.
